Game Design Intern
As a Game Design Intern at Squanch Games, I had the unique opportunity of being a part of a smaller team of experienced designers. Alongside three others, I took on assignments in all aspects of design, dipping my feet into documentation, QA, bug fixes, mission scripting, level design, and combat encounters. The first few months had us switching around quite a bit, until I had two long stints in engine. I worked on voice hookups and scripted a large portion of one level, before moving on to work under a senior designer on another level. There I would work primarily on combat encounters and slight level design iteration. I gained a ton of perspective working at Squanch as a designer, and I cherish the opportunity I had to work with their wonderful team.
